  1. slice turnips carrots approximately 1/4 inch thick
  2. peel and slice ginger
  3. put turnips and ginger in canning jar
  4. place currant leaf on top of turnips
  5. place ferment weight on top of currant leaf
  6. cover with brine
  7. seal
